Autumn Budget Summary 2024

After what seems to have been an age of journalists speculating on the doom and gloom to befall us as the Government seeks to mend broken Britain, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves, yesterday delivered her “Budget for Change”.
There were a few surprise measures but most of the content had been released through the media beforehand. The Chancellor took over an hour and a quarter to deliver what turned out to be the second longest Budget speech in recent years outdone only by Norman Lamont in the early 1990’s
