Staff are any businesses biggest resource so it is essential that payroll calculations are carried out on time and accurately, as non-compliance can lead to both a dissatisfied workforce and financial penalties from HMRC.
From 6 April 2013 employers had to start reporting PAYE information to HMRC in real time, the biggest change to payroll processing since PAYE was introduced in 1944. You may see this referred to as Real Time Information - or RTI.
Under the new rules employers have to:
• send payroll details to HMRC whenever a payroll is run, before they pay the employee (with a few limited exceptions)
• use payroll software to send this information electronically as part of their routine payroll process
Penalties may be imposed on employers who fail to meet their RTI obligations by the deadlines.
We can relieve our clients of these significant burdens by carrying out all payroll calculations utilising our in house payroll software. Our service is comprehensive and involves the provision of employee payslips and the completion of all statutory forms and calculations within filing deadlines. We assist clients with their BACS payroll payment requirements, and submit the RTI payroll information to the relevant authorities by the deadlines.
We also assist in the completion of P11D benefits in kind forms along with other payroll declarations.
We offer advice and assistance on the operation of HMRC legislation with regard to PAYE and NIC deductions over the full range of business sectors.
