“We will seek to continue to provide a positive impact upon society in all that we do”
Everyone at Walker Thompson believes that there are positive impacts which we can make upon our environment, on those perhaps less fortunate than ourselves and upon organisations who may benefit from our skills & expertise in the Not for Profit sector.
We have a specific policy statement regarding Corporate Social Responsibility. As a firm, we recycled over 90% of our paper waste equivalent to 580kgs in 2008 and 640kgs in 2009. In addition we donate all of our used ink cartridges to charity for recycling.
Our people are involved in a number of organisations on a voluntary basis, The Coventry Foyer Charitable Trust, a housing project for young people in Coventry City Centre and Park Hill Playgroup for children. We also provide access for staff to use skills more formally within other organisations.
In 2008 / 09, the Partners in the business all acted as volunteer mentors to business students at Coventry University in association with the Institute of Directors Coventry & Warwickshire.
During each year we will engage with various charities & make cash donations from money raised by staff.
Overall Walker Thompson made a contribution to society equivalent to over £15000 in 2008 and £13000 in 2009.
