The ACCA trainee development stream recognises the learning opportunities that Walker Thompson provides for its employees working towards the ACCA Qualification.
The scheme is accessible to all and the level of approval awarded reflects the support that we as an organisation provide to trainees
ACCA have reviewed the learning and support that our organisation provides, focusing on our study support and our provision of suitable practical experience. We are pleased to announce that we met the platinum training standard, the highest of their three levels of approval.
As a result of our meeting the platinum training standard our trainees are automatically eligible for an exemption from the requirement to complete a Trainee Development Matrix (TDM) as part of ACCA's Practical Experience Requirements (PER). Our trainees are simply required to submit an annual declaration confirming they are employed by an Approved Employer who holds platinum approval. The exemption is a great benefit for our trainees and minimises ACCA compliance requirements.

The Investor in Excellence (IiE) Standard is a programme designed to guide the business to new heights of performance and help us meet the expectations of our stakeholders. It is a nationally recognised framework for coordinating improvement activity.
The IIE model looks at 9 key strands or indicators relating to strategy, policy, processes, people and delivery results.
We are the only accountancy practice in Coventry to date to have been successfully accredited.

Investors in People is a national standard for the recognition of people development within businesses and is an external assessment of how we lead, manage and develop our staff so that our clients and other stakeholders receive the highest quality of service possible.
Our leadership and management processes were separately assessed as part of stretch modules and we were accredited to level 4, the highest level achievable.
